Yellow vest for yellow office
3:16 PMThis is one of those projects that stays on hold forever - and is then actually surprisingly easy to finish. Why did it take two years? No idea. Good thing there's Christmas, as it made me think of Christmas presents. The vest had been waiting in its almost-finished state for quite some time, so it was a quick last minute Christmas gift for Business woman. Why yellow? Well, her business is yellow and there's only one dress code at their office: wear yellow - that's why. Why vest? It's pure wool so it's pretty warm as it is, but without sleeves you can still wear it at the office without sweating.
Pattern: improvised
Yarn: Novita wool (232 g)
Needles: 4 mm
This was also one of those projects that took more than one try. In the end I re-knit both shoulders twice, but I'm really happy with the result, so it was worth it.
Photoshoot on location at SOL City.

Oh, I love this office! So colorful! The texture really stands out. I especially love how you played with the arrangement of cables around the V-neck - so perfectly balanced!
ReplyDeleteI love that office, too! It's like a playground with lots of art and plenty of color. And everyone wearing yellow :) Thanks for the comment, I'm really happy with the cables - it was worth it to knit them a couple of times.
DeletePirtsakka keltainen, tosi kiva :). Tuo pääntie on todellakin kaunis!
ReplyDeleteKiitos! En muuten ehkä olisi juuri tuota väriä valinnut, mutta sopii tuohon ympäristöön :) Pääntie tosiaan vaati pari yritystä, mutta olen tyytyväinen lopputulokseen.
